Read before you send. These are drafts, not finished messages. Read every message out loud, fix anything that sounds off, and make sure it fits the person and their post. Only send what you would be happy to get yourself.

Check your own message

Paste any opener you wrote. The checker looks for three things: too long, too salesy, or a link in the first message.

The checker is a rough guide. It looks for length, pushy words and links. It cannot judge tone or whether the message fits the person. You make the final call, and replies are never guaranteed.
